Point Guards

2023-24 Minnesota Timberwolves Roster Breakdown

Point Guards

The Timberwolves' point guard rotation is led by All-Star D'Angelo Russell. Russell is a dynamic scorer and playmaker who averaged 18.1 points and 6.4 assists per game last season. Minnesota also has Jordan McLaughlin, who provides a solid backup option with his defensive intensity and ability to run the offense.

Shooting Guards

Anthony Edwards is the Timberwolves' starting shooting guard and one of the most promising young players in the NBA. Edwards is a gifted scorer and athlete who averaged 21.3 points per game last season. Jaden McDaniels is expected to start at small forward, but he can also play shooting guard if needed. McDaniels is a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions.

Other Players

The Timberwolves have a number of other players who could contribute in the 2023-24 season. Karl-Anthony Towns is the team's franchise player and one of the best big men in the NBA. Towns averaged 24.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game last season. Rudy Gobert is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year who will provide a much-needed presence in the paint for the Timberwolves. Other players to watch include Taurean Prince, Kyle Anderson, and Jaylen Nowell.

The Timberwolves have a lot of talent on their roster, but they need to improve their chemistry if they want to compete for a playoff spot in the 2023-24 season.
